Hello, my name is Renée and I have an unhealthy addiction of all things paper. Ever since I was young I have handmade cards for friends and family, since then my hobby has become a great love. There is nothing like the experience of opening an envelope to discover you have been invited to a special occasion or that there has been a new addition to a family. I try to create a unique experience with every card I design.
Getting Started
I owe becoming a graphic designer to my grandmother. I gave her a card that I had made for her when I was younger, and she was so impressed she told me that I should become a graphic designer. And, well, I am a good listener. After realizing that all my friends and family were requesting custom work from me, I decided to start my own business doing what I love. The rest is history.
The Process
Each card I design starts with a euphoric moment of inspiration. That may sound like an exaggeration, but you know those days where it looks like the sun is shinning brighter and you notice smaller details instead of the bigger picture? Maybe it’s just me, but when I have those moments a new design is born. From there I create my own illustrative interpretation of that moment. From concept development, to the typographic layout, each design becomes my own piece of art.
